Broken Promise (Dreams) is a Toonami Music Video that premiered in early 2001 (Re-aired on April 1, 2012). The video uses the track, Broken Promise by Joe Boyd Vigil, which is included in the album Toonami: Deep Space Bass. This track was also used for another Toonami music video, Broken Promise (Dandy Dreams) in 2014, which pays homage to this video.
"Broken Promise (Dreams)" was narrated by voice actor Beau Billingslea, the voice of Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop.
The promo begins with Gene Starwind from Outlaw Star, overlooking a spaceship's launch. The Rest of the video features other clips from shows promoting the idea that you should face your destiny and believe in your dreams. It ends with the Narrator giving inspiring words.
