Paid Immersion Event (P.I.E.) is the term used by fans to describe a situation in which the revived Toonami on Adult Swim is paid to advertise a specific movie or item. The term "Paid immersion Event" was coined by fans due to the Oblivion P.I.E.'s similarity to Toonami's Total Immersion Events, the classic Toonami specials that ran from 2000 to 2003.
