Criminal Threats/Better Cartoon Show Promos

The Criminal Threats promos, also known as Better Cartoon Show promos, are Toonami promos that have been in use since Toonami launched in 1997. These promos were named by Toonami fans for the inclusion of two lines in each promo: "We won't be intimidated by criminal threats!", a line taken from the 1940's Superman cartoon "The Bulleteers", and "Building you a better cartoon show.", a direct message to the Toonami fans from the producers and delivered by the current host or announcer. Depending on the era the host or announcer would say either "Cartoon Network is building you a better cartoon show." or "Adult Swim is building you a better cartoon show." and then add "we call it Toonami."
