Toonami Series

Sailor Moon

Lunar Eclipse was a special eight and a half hour Toonami marathon in which the last 17 episodes of Sailor Moon R (Sailor Moon Season 2), called "The Lost Episodes," aired in order on Sunday May 23, 1999.[1]

"The Lost Episodes," as they were named, consisted of episodes 66-82 of the english dub. These episodes were not dubbed by DiC in 1995, leaving the season unfinished. This led fans to petition for these final episodes to be dubbed and, in 1998, the episodes were finally dubbed by DiC. The series was subsequently picked up by Cartoon Network and began broadcasting in June 1998 on Toonami.[3][4] However, the final 17 episodes were withheld from the initial run on Cartoon Network and did not make their premiere until November of 1998.[5]
