Broadcast Time

2:00 AM - 3:00 AM

Since moving to Saturday nights (Sunday mornings) on Adult Swim in 2012, Toonami now airs on every day that Daylight Saving Time either begins or ends.

Since the initial “Ending” of Daylight Saving Time broadcast on November 12, 2012, Toonami has started the tradition of filling the extra hour with special programming that is not usually on the block, like Inuyasha and King Star King.

During every "Beginning" of Daylight Saving Time broadcast between 2012-2014, Toonami was shortened by an hour causing the 2:00 AM - 3:00 AM hour to be skipped. However, since 2015, the full block is aired in its entirety from 12:00-4:30 AM.

How Daylight Saving Time Works

When Daylight Saving Time begins (in Spring), the clocks jump forward an hour from 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM, leaving that day with only 23 hours. When Daylight Saving Time ends (in Fall), the clocks jump back an hour from 2:00 AM to 1:00 AM, repeating the 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM hour, giving that day an extra hour (25 hours).
