Toonami Sketchbook was a series of sketches, hosted on toonami.com in 2001, that consisted of re-interpretations of characters from five different Toonami series by comic artists such as Mike Mignola and Jim Steranko. Interestingly, Frankenstein Jr. was included in Sketchbook although it never actually aired on Toonami. The five Toonami series featured in Sketchbook included:
- The Herculoids by Mike Mignola
- Sailor Moon by JJ Kirby
- Galaxy Trio by Mike Oeming
- Frankenstein Jr. by Jim Steranko
- Dragon Ball Z by Sergio Aragones
